Abstract

The goal of the present thesis for the degree of Magister in psycho-spiritual accompaniment is to describe and interpret the emotional psycho images of God of a group of women who are in middle adulthood and have been subject to a process of psycho-spiritual accompaniment. This is a qualitative research of exploratory character. For the images of God of the study subjects we rely on the personal construct theory, using the Repertory Grid; this information was analyzed by Record 5.0, and the data were interpreted as directed. Images of God described in the results obtained and interpreted in the Repertory Grid, coincided with previous experience of psycho-spiritual accompaniment they carried, and it appears that those individuals where there is a significant parental experience, emerges an emotional psycho image of God, near the images of "God the Father" or "God-Father-Law"; which is consistent with the literature regarding the importance of the primary figures in shaping the image of God. Further, while the images of God are related to these primary experiences, will be transformed from personal spiritual experience, so to the extent that there is a loving and close experience of God, and be aware of the image of God you have, it will change to the new image related to the new experience.
