Abstract

"This paper presents the archaeological findings done in a test pit in "" Alero Quemado"" site in the neighborhoods of Sofia lake, province of Ultima Esperanza. The significant presence of artifacts in huemul (Hippocamelus bisulcus) bone remains in a transition zone occupied by terrestrial and maritime hunter-gatherers is emphasized. The oldest occupation of the rock shelter dates from the Middle Holocene."
