Abstract

This piece draws on Freire’s work and the experience of reading it in order to elaborate some working ideas to be developed as a rereading of Paulo Freire’s scholarship as a whole. The point of view is grounded in my being a Latin American studying my PhD in the United States; looking backward, making sense of the present, hoping for a better future. It also intends to initiate both a personal and collective conversation.
