Abstract

The skin and the conditions that affect it, is a frequent cause of consultation in the veterinary clinics of pets. This book deals with the main diseases that affect the skin and teguments, proving that with a good diagnosis and laboratory support it is possible to solve it. There are multiple causes that affect the skin, they can be endocrine, infectious and even, they may have a very different origin, but it is reflected in the skin, the most extensive organ of the organism. This book focuses mainly on the causes of infectious origin, placing special emphasis on those of bacterial origin, mycotic and parasitic, addressing their diagnosis, treatment and prognosis.
