Redes y Comunidades.

Abstract

This paper deals with spaces that are real, imagined and possible (Lefebvre, Santos, Soja) in the context of Chilean earthquake. Possible spaces refer to society, but also to constructed and natural spaces. In this sense, enormous possibilities open up so as to offer alternatives to the hegemonic spatial (re) confi guration of the most a ffected regions by the earthquake of February, 27th. From a local perspective I am looking for the construction of a space interpreted as scenery of the community, the same that gives support and content to it. The empirical illustration of the study comes from a recently constituted social network integrated by rural dwellers, small-scale fi shers, students and academics from Biobío region. The purpose of doing that is to explore the viability and sustainability of theirs alternative reconstruction projects
