Efecto de la temperatura de calcinación de la sílice en el sistema Pt/CeO2/SiO2 para la oxidación de metano
Keywords: interaction, sio2, methane oxidation, calcination temperature
Abstract
The effect of calcining a support (SiO2) at 700 and 950 ºC over physicochemical and catalytic properties of Pt-CeO2 supported on silica system was studied. The prepared samples were PtCeSi700 and PtCeSi950. The catalysts were characterized by spectroscopic, thermal and X-ray techniques, and methane oxidation at stoichiometric conditions as a reaction. The support treatment produced two surfaces chemically different, one surface with a high OH groups concentration and another, with a low concentration of them. This feature produced different grades of interaction between Ce and Pt with the support, leaving to a different redox and catalytic behavior in the samples PtCeSi700 and PtCeSi950, being the most active sample, the catalyst PtCeSi700
