Abstract

In this work, we have applied the thematic analysis methodology to extract the most relevant conceptions about mathematical modeling practices using the collected opinions from an interdisciplinary team of researchers. The main feature of the team is the use of mathematical modeling in its practice to solve applied problems of the real world. So, five conceptions are obtained, and then all of them were recognized in two of the works published by Poincare's. Consequently, these conceptions represent some key components of the interdisciplinary work supported by mathematical modeling practice.
