Mesopelagic shrimps of the family sergestidae (Decapoda, Dendrobranchiata): New records for the southeastern pacific
Abstract
The species of the mesopelagic shrimp family Sergestidae that occur in the southeastern Pacific Ocean are reviewed, with a major emphasis on Chilean species. Twelve species are reported for this area, five of which are listed as new for the southeastern Pacific region. The relationships with the sergestid shrimp faunas of the other Pacific zones are discussed.
