Notas: For exploring how the microbial ecology and the geochemistry interact in controlling the occurrence of arsenic in regional saline environments. A complete and a highly restricted arsenic biogeochemical cycle is evident in Salar de Ascotán and Gorbea, an acidic hypersaline environment, respectively.
