Abstract

Psychological capital is a recent concept that has aroused special interest due to its effect on desired attitudes, which is composed of job satisfaction, organizational commitment and life satisfaction. The purpose of this study is to analyze the relationship between psychological capital and desired attitudes of workers inserted in the public and private sector, who, in turn, are evening students of the Arturo Prat University of Santiago de Chile. A sample of 505 people was taken to which a battery was applied that measured desired attitudes and psychological capital. A correlational analysis was performed. The results showed positive and statistically significant correlations between psychological capital and the variables associated with desired attitudes, there being a greater correlation with job satisfaction (r = 0,45), followed by life satisfaction (r = 0,40) and organizational commitment (r = 0,32).
