Computation of the vibration modes of plates and shells by low-order MITC quadrilateral finite elements

Abstract

The computation of the vibration modes of plates and shells by low-order MITC quadrilateral finite elements was studied. The classical Naghdi model over a reference domain was used. The performance of this approach for both structures was assessed by means of numerical experiments.
