Abstract
The effectiveness of collaborative learning, problem-based learning and inquiry in Secondary students isstudied in order to analyze their incidence on criticalthinking and academic performance. The design isquasi-experimental with pre and posttest. The results indicate a positive influence of all methodologies on critical thinking; but it is not statistically significant.Collaborative learning and inquiry showed a statistically significant increase in biology learning outcomes
