Abstract

This essay aims to discuss the text of the PNPG 2011-2020, especially when it addresses training, at the stricto sensu level, and the valorization of the basic education professional and, in particular, when it states that this is a strategic issue for the SNPG and that it should guarantee students and teachers the right to learn. The teacher’s continued training is fundamental throughout his pedagogical practice, since the exercise of his profession extends in all areas of his students’ lives. In this sense, the Professional Master’s Programs in Education or related areas, have as premise the training of Basic Education professionals, potential to deepen themes, contexts, epistemologies, methodologies, strategies and new languages to meet the particularities, performances and school asymmetries known and not evolved throughout Brazil.
