Abstract

A cosmological approach based on considering a cosmic background with nonzero torsion is shown in order to give an option of explaining a possible phantom evolution, not ruled out according to the current observational data. We revise some aspects of the formal schemes on torsion and, according them, we develop a formalism which can be an interesting alternative for exploring Cosmology.
