This invention describes a system and procedure for synthesizing carbon-coated Li2S nanoparticles, where the system comprises: a feeder, a plasma torch system, a continuous cooling system and solid-state lithium and sulfur precursors and gaseous carbon source. And where the procedure allows the production of carbon-covered Li2S nanoparticles.
