Dielectric Properties of Lanthanum Doped Pb(Zr0.52Ti0.48)O-3 Ferroelectric Nanoceramics
Abstract
Lanthanum doped lead zirconate titanate (PZT) monophase perovskite powder with the composition of Pb0.975La0.025(Zr0.52Ti0.48)O-3 were prepared via sol-gel route. The phase formation of synthesized PLZT powders was confirmed by X-ray diffraction (XRD) studies. The surface morphological features and at.% and wt.% of the sample were studied using a scanning electron microscope (SEM) and energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDAX) respectively. Complex impedance spectroscopy (CIS) technique has been carried out to obtain the electrical properties of polycrystalline lanthanum doped PZT (52/48) ferroelectric nanoceramics in a wide frequency range (from 100 Hz to 1 MHz) at different temperatures (from 25 degrees C to 500 degrees C). This study was carried out by the means of simultaneous analysis of impedance, dielectric constant, dielectric loss, and electrical conductivity. The remnant polarization (P-r) and coercive electric fields (E-c) of the sample are observed from the ferroelectric loop measured at room temperature.
