Abstract

Purpose: to analyze the uses and experiences in tele-nursing in the healthcare context, which could be applied to university education, according to the scientific publications of the last 10 years. Methods: a narrative literature review was carried out using various databases of the EBSCO search engine. The period 2010 to 2020 was taken as reference, and the following descriptors were used: tele-nursing, tele-medicine and nursing education in different combinations, in addition to inclusion and exclusion criteria. A final sample of 18 manuscripts was obtained. Findings: in the hospital setting, tele-nursing demonstrated a favorable impact on people's health, whereas in the Primary Care area, this strategy was used in a supplementary way, which strengthened promotion and prevention. Aspects such as personal characteristics, lack of training and infrastructure, among others, had an impact on the use of tele-nursing. Conclusions: the use of tele-nursing in the university setting is considered to be feasible, although this modality of care is not the only source of skills acquisition.
