Abstract

In the context of ecosystem stewardship, rights and autonomy for Indigenous and local communities, coupled with effective governance, improves equity, wellbeing, biodiversity, and climate mitigation and adaptation outcomes. This Voices asks: what is needed to effectively consolidate, strengthen, and scale up local examples of stewardship and conservation?
