Bent Inverted-F Antenna for WLAN Units
Abstract
We show how a wire inverted-F antenna can be made more compact without significant alteration of its impedance and radiation characteristics. Two modified inverted-F antennas, one in air and another with solid dielectric casing, were computer-simulated for the 2.4-GHz band and their input match loss and bandwidth were validated experimentally. © 2008 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
