Abstract

The article aims to present a model proposal to favor the inclusion of migrant students in primary schools with Catholic identity, located in vulnerable sectors of Chile. An action-research design was used as methodology. In a first phase, the inclusion status of migrant students in schools in the Santiago and Antofagasta regions was diagnosed. In the second, the model was developed and validated by 18 expert peers. A third phase of piloting the validated model is contemplated. The main result of the first two phases was a Spiral Reflection Model that raises questions around three main aspects: organizational, curricular and pedagogical, through which an educational institution can question its work and advance in a permanent reflective process that allows to define actions that strengthen the inclusion of migrant students, promoting essential principles of catholicity.
