Abstract

In this article we present and discuss the results of a literature review of Chilean scientific production in the field of home studies. The search yielded a total of 16 journals and 110 articles, published between January 1990 and July 2018, which were subjected to a descriptive and thematic analysis. Four transversal categories are presented as a result: city and spatiality; living place; experience of living; and subject that inhabits. It is concluded that Chilean scientific production around the home is important in number, has been growing, presents great methodological, disciplinary, thematic and scale diversity, and is emerging as an evolving field of comprehensive, critical and applied orientation.
