Abstract

The present invention relates to new phosphate solubilizing bacterial strains belonging to the species Buttiauxella ferragutiae, or mutants derived from said strains that maintain the phosphate solubilizing capacity, or a mixture of these strains. The present invention also comprises a composition containing said strains, and a method of applying said composition in the crop soil to increase the availability of phosphates that allow adequate plant nutrition.
