Values in Educational Projects: A Path to Responsible Citizens

Abstract

he schools declare in their institutional educational projects a series of values that guarantee the quality of pedagogical management. This qualitative, descriptive-interpretative documentary study, aimed to identify the values present and absent in the educational projects, consideringa purposive sample in which public schools, private subsidized schools, and private paid schools participated. In the characterization of the citizenprofile, social, intellectual, dynamic, moral, and religious values acquire greater significance to a large extent in denominational establishments, indicating the dimensions of openness and relationship with others and emotional intelligence. The resultsshow a value profile of citizens committed to the search for the common good, the development of knowledge, and the construction of a life project that incorporates theidea of transcendence
