Introduction: Ceftazidime/avibactam (CZA) is indicated against multidrug-resistant Pseudomonas aeruginosa, particularly those that are carbapenem resistant. CZA resistance in P. aeruginosa producing PER, a class A extended-spectrum ?-lactamase, has been well documented in vitro. However, data regarding clinical isolates are scarce.
