Abstract

Two consecutive field trials to evaluate the effect of windshields over the yields of ten potato cultivars were set at the area of San Gregorio (52"34'S), XII Region, at the 1993-94 and 1994-95 seasons: the first one without irrigation, as normal in the area, and the second one applying irrigation. Cultivars Atlantic, Bintje, Desiree, Kennebeck, Ona, Pehuenche, Pukara, Romano, R. Burbank y Yagana were sub-plots and windshields main effects under split plot desing with four replications, where whinshields effects on yields in both seasons were not significant (P < 0.05). However, cultivars Desiree and Pukara had yields significantly higher (P <0.05)
