Primer hallazgo de medusa invasora Craspedacusta cf. sowerbii en lago Natri, Isla de Chilo, Chile
Abstract
The Craspedacusta sowerbii jellyfish is an invasive freshwater species of Chinese origin, which currently has a worldwide distribution. In Chile, it was recorded for the first time in 1942 at Dam Marga Marga (32° S), subsequently expanding its distribution to reach 41° S, in the Pichilaguna Lagoon. In this report we register the presence of Craspedacusta cf. sowerbii in Chiloé Island, in Lake Natri, corresponding to the southernmost finding of this species in Chile.
