Abstract

The objective of this research study is to describe the motivation of university students through their willingness and interest in research from the perspective of university social responsibility (RSU) in Peru. An instrument is provided to 390 university students from various universities in Peru. An exploratory factor analysis is applied and statistically significant differences are examined according to sociodemographic characteristics. The results show statistically differences in some variables that comprise motivation in agreement research: years of study, study discipline, and participation in RSU projects. In conclusion, the management of research during university education must consider academic, sociodemographic, and personal aspects for the design of strategies that develop in students the will and interest in the development of studies that allow them to respond to the needs and demands of society. © (2024), (Centro de Informacion Tecnologica).
