Abstract

The main purpose of this research study is to examine statistically significant differences between the professional ethics of university professors from the perspective of University Social Responsibility (USR) in Chile. A self-report instrument is applied to a non-probabilistic convenience sample of 61 university professors from Chile. Descriptive statistics and measures of central tendency and reliability coefficients are calculated. Statistically significant differences are examined according to characteristics of the university professors. The results show differences in means according to gender, age, professional training, and teaching experience of the university professor. It is concluded that university decision makers must promote instances that enhance the development of student-centered teaching and the values that constitute social responsibility by implementing strategies that promote the role of the university student outside university, which enhances the development of a competent and socially responsible professional. © (2024), (Centro de Informacion Tecnologica).
