Abstract

This study investigates the impact of collaboration programs between universities and schools on students’ knowledge, attitudes, and behaviors concerning climate action and sustainability. Utilizing a systematic review approach based on the PICOS framework (Population, Intervention, Comparison, Outcomes, Studies), the research focuses on students engaged in collaborative educational initiatives between universities and schools. Key populations include university students participating in sustainability collaborations compared to students from institutions without such programs. Measured outcomes encompass changes in knowledge, attitudes, and behaviors related to sustainability post-intervention. Findings suggest that collaborative educational efforts effectively enhance students’ awareness and proactive commitment to sustainability challenges. The study highlights the transformative potential of integrating academic resources into educational curricula to foster a more informed and proactive student body regarding environmental management and sustainability practices. Future research will benefit from refining these educational models further and expanding the scope of collaborative projects to include a broader range of institutions and demographic groups.
