Abstract

The purpose of this article was to build and validate a scale to measure the vision that leaders have about the union reality in Chile. Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA) and Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) were carried out to examine and confirm the internal structure of the scale. A total of 202 union leaders from the city of Valdivia in Chile participated, aged between 18 and 51 years old (65.8% are between 31 and 51 years old), 48.5% men, and 51.5% women. Preliminary results show that the instrument presents psychometric properties appropriate for the assessment of trade union reality in southern Chile.
