Protección de Datos Personales y Sensibles : Una Revisión de Técnicas de Encriptación en Big Data y Data Lakes
Abstract
The growing volume of data has led to the extensive use of Big Data technologies, such as Data Lakes. However, the protection of personal and sensitive data has become a critical challenge, driven by the need to comply with regulations such as Chilean Law N. 19.628. This paper investigates encryption techniques to safeguard data in Big Data and Data Lake environments, focusing on the applicable encryption solutions according to the Chilean legal framework. Using a systematic mapping of the literature and the Design Science Research methodology, we identify the main encryption techniques, such as homomorphic encryption and AES, and propose an artifact that employs Format Preserving Encryption. This artifact allows for the protection of data without compromising its readability or original format, facilitating its secure use in distributed cloud computing platforms.
