Abstract

This paper contains the result about investigation of 456 complete ceramic vessels corresponding to tradition Pitrén, in Chile’s Centro-Sur region. It notices the recurrence in vessels of features relating with anphibiomorf motivs. The consideration of zoologic and ethologic aspects about anphibians and the use of etnographic analogy contribute to interpretation of cultural aspects of these early groups.that produce this pottery
