Abstract

The term “precision medicine” is currently widely used, however, the understanding of its implications is not yet widespread among health professionals. This simple narrative review aims to describe concepts associated with precision medicine and to give a brushstroke on the different areas of application in clinical medicine and the foreseen projections about their development for the coming years.
