Abstract

This article presents the results of a study whose objective is to determine whether IoT skills affect performance expectancy and effort expectancy, influencing the intention and use of IoT (smart devices) in households in central-southern Chile. To this end, surveys have been applied to people over 18 years of age belonging to households in southern Chile, who are users or potential users of IoT devices in their homes. The results of the structural equation analysis indicate that IoT skills positively affect performance expectancy and effort expectancy, and that these expectations directly affect the intention to use IoT devices.
