Abstract

Knowledge of the genomic diversity of Escherichia coli is largely derived from the pathogenic isolates associated with human or animal infection. We describe the complete genomes of E. coli isolates lacking canonical virulence gene markers from children enrolled in the Global Enteric Multicenter Study.
