Abstract

Objective: To describe the tests used to assess motor development in children aged 5 to 12 with visual impairment.Method: A systematic review was carried out using the electronic databases: Web Of Science, Ebsco host and the United States National Library of Medicine. The search range was from October to December 2020. They were consulted with the English terms motor development, motor skills, visual impairment, blindness, students.Results: 47 studies were identified in relation to the topic to be studied, where five met the inclusion criteria for a complete reading. From this, three tests were identified, TGMD-2, the Frostig test sub-scale for eye-manual coordination and the Coordination Disorders Questionnaire.Conclusion: It was observed that the most used test was the TGMD-2 applied to children between 6 and 12 years old with visual impairment. The main adaptations that were made in the tests were in their materials, instructions and the perception of movement through the tactile sense.
