Abstract

The goal of the work presented in this article was the determination of the material heating during cold rolling, by visioplasticity method. For this purpose, parabolic stream lines on the deformation zone are proposed, with velocity discontinuity at the entry gap and without discontinuity at the exit deformation zone. The implementation to tin plate rolling, with equal reduction of 27% on the first three stands, show heating by homogeneous deformation between 27 and 78 °C, for stands 1 and 3 respectively. These values are similar to those obtained by the authors using other methods. The results show that due to the small thickness of the entrance and of the reductions, the inhomogeneity deformation heating is negligible, with a maximum value of 2.6 °C at the third stand.
