Abstract

Several new 2,3-functionallydialkyl-1,4-benzohydroquinone diacetates have been prepared by oxidative cleavage of epoxide compounds III, obtained from the Diels-Alder condensation product between the monoterpene myrcene and 1,4-benzoquinone. The nature of the isolated products is depending of the functionality of the side chain.
