Abstract

Wilson's disease is a paradigmatic disorder in Neurology because it allowed to clinicians to understand the relationship between basal ganglia and movement disorders. Neurologists usually consider this disease in the differential diagnosis of a patient presenting with a movement disorder but its diagnosis is seldom made because it's a very uncommon entity. We describe on this clinical note the importance of the Kayser-Fleischer ring as a useful diagnostic tool of Wilson's disease, and we enclose an image clearly depicting the main features of this clinical sign. © 2006 Sociedad de Neurolog Psiquiatry Neurocirugbr.
