Abstract

Facultad de Ciencias Sociales Administrativas y Económicas Departamento de Antropologfa We propose a methodology for the analysis of the Territorial Archaeological Configuration based on relational theory. This approach uses values of appropiation and identity that influence the archaeologist. These particularities are analyzed with a cognition map, which explicitly states concepts and arguments used by the investigator. Our approach differ from others previously used in archaeology, because it addresses the question of the observer, and the way he/she explains his/her position for the reformulation of archaeological explanation. © 2007 Universidad de Tarapacá.
