A class of optimal decentralized controllers for open loop stable processes

Abstract
This work proposes a methodology to deal with full decentralized controller synthesis in the case of open loop stable plants in the discrete time domain. The results are based on a convenient characterization of the set of all stabilizing decentralized controllers and lead to a closed form one. Sufficient and necessary conditions for the stability of the resulting closed loop are established and the method is illustrated with examples.
