Magallanes preserves proud tradition of sheep breeding
Abstract
The Chilean sheep sector is small compared with other agricultural productions exported from Chile. Howerver, Magallanes has by far the biggest concentration of animals and the biggest sheep population in the country, and the strongest breeding tradition. The challenge is to show the advantages of sheep production in the face of cultural competition from cattle breeders.
