Effect of marineindustrial environment on reinforced concrete structures with superficial protection of acrylicincorporated mortar Estudio del efecto del ambiente marinoindustrial en estructuras de hormigón armado que poseen protección superficial de mortero con acrílico incorporado
Abstract
This research provides analysis and experimental results on the behavior of mortar-type superficial coatings, in reinforced concrete specimens exposed to an aggressive marine-industrial environment, in an accelerated system to observe its effects in less time. From the results obtained in the investigation it was found that the marineindustrial accelerated environment is more adverse for reinforced concrete than marine or industrial environments separately. Among mortar coatings with 10%, 15% and 20% acrylic, a more advantageous behavior for the type with highest acrylic percentage is not noted, except for the first exposure to chloride.
