Abstract

This invention is related to a method for determining the spectral characteristics of optical channels and the number of optical channels necessary for optimal colorimetric or spectral characterization or reproduction, in any spectral band. The results of this methodology can be applied in optical equipment for color characterization or reproduction, such as printers, cameras, scanners, screens, 10 projectors, among others, in any spectral band, in order to acquire and/or reproduce images with a high level of spectral or colorimetric quality, where a traditional image acquisition or reproduction process normally causes a loss of spectral information due to the use of optical sensors with suboptimal spectral characteristics.
