La confianza como determinante de la actitud de los estudiantes universitarios hacia la encuesta de evaluación del desempeño de sus docentes

Abstract
This article gives information about the influence of different levels of trust, demographics and academic variables of university students so as to know their attitude towards an assessment survey of teaching performance. The number of participant amounted to 589 undergraduate students. First an attitudinal scale was designed to evaluate the assessment survey of teaching performance. High validity and reliable indicators were obtained. Further a multiple hierarchical regression analysis indicated that confidence and trust in both, teachers and in the faculty where the students are enrolled, were determinant factors in a positive attitude towards the survey of teaching performance. This research offers suggestions for university management and also provides methodological support for research based upon institutional surveys.
