Abstract

This research treats on the regulation of the joint-stock company of reciprocal guarantee in the Chilean law of companies, incorporated into the national legal system by the Law N° 20.179, June 20, 2007. It examines the origin, nature and purposes of this new association figure, addressing in a systematic fashion the diverse problems raised by its categorization as a joint-stock company and the participation of the State of Chile, through its administrative authorized organs, in the implementation and consolidation of this financial support mechanism for the micro, small and medium company.
