Abstract

This article aims mainly to show what the main achievements and setbacks that have occurred in the field of care and protection of children and adolescents in Catalonia in recent years, with special attention to the effects are derived from the enormous normative production emanating from the different legal operators with jurisdiction over the matter. In order to achieve these objectives, we begin our analysis by providing a critical reading of the vocabulary used traditionally by our regulatory bodies to try to identify the subject active participant in this sector of social intervention. Then, taking as reference the major concerns outlined by the Committee on the Rights of the Child in its Concluding observations and recommendations to the Spanish State, we will focus on the qualitative comment on what the issues would be mean must address immediately to the Catalan autonomous community a better place for children and adolescents territory.
