Abstract

In contrast with the mainstream in globalization studies that insists on the analysis of a globalization “from below” the aim of this article is to show, how an active articulation in the globalization can be held even by the leading sectors of the society in the so called “emerging powers”. It is argued that at the fundaments of this growing leader role of several South American countries, the rising of new elites can be identified, or, at least, the transformation of the existing ones, which are sharing a modus of construction of power, of economic accumulation and legitimacy described as “postneoliberal”.
