Application of Two-Phonon Superconductivity Model for MgB2 Compound

Abstract

Based on recent experimental results that emphasize the non-linear interactions between the electrons and phonons in MgB2 one propose to apply the two-phonon mechanism of formation of superconductivity in this compound. The processes of two-phonon transitions through the virtual states for two-band structure of superconductors are considered. It is shown that the effects of two-phonon exchange between the carriers can explain the high TC superconductivity of MgB2.
