Abstract

In summary, primary angioplasty is associated with a reduction in the myodcardial perfusion defect size within the first few days; this favorable effect is even more significant at 3 months. LV function, as expected, improves significantly over time associated with a progressive decrease in LV volumes, i.e., "favorable" remodeling of the left ventricle.
